ANZ Global Group is expanding into advanced reinforcement materials — bringing the same sourcing discipline and supply capability that defines our oil and gas business to the construction and infrastructure sector.

Our focus in this vertical is GFRP Rebar — a proven, corrosion-resistant alternative to conventional steel reinforcement, with growing adoption across infrastructure, marine, and industrial construction projects globally.

WHAT IS GFRP REBAR?

Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer GFRP Rebar is a composite reinforcement bar made from glass fibres set in a resin matrix — engineered as a direct substitute for steel rebar in reinforced concrete structures.

Unlike steel, GFRP does not corrode, rust, or degrade in aggressive environments, making it the material of choice for structures where longevity, low maintenance, and corrosion resistance are critical.

KEY FACTS : Tensile Strength: 1000+ MPa (vs 500–600 MPa for steel) | Weight: 4x lighter than steel | Density: 1.9 T/m³ (vs 7.8 T/m³ for steel) | Durability: 80 years+ | Electrically non-conductive | Transparent to magnetic fields

WHY GFRP OVER STEEL?

Corrosion Free

Corrosion Free

Zero corrosion in marine, coastal, chemical, and high-humidity environments — eliminating the primary cause of structural failure in steel-reinforced concrete.

Significantly Lighter

Significantly Lighter

We supply premium quality OCTG products designed for drilling, exploration, and production operations in the oil & gas industry. Engineered for reliability, durability, and high-performance applications across global markets.

High Tensile Strength

High Tensile Strength

Tensile strength exceeding 1000 MPa — greater than conventional steel rebar, with a longer design life of 80 years and above.

Electrically Non-Conductive

Electrically Non-Conductive

Dielectric and non-magnetic — ideal for hospitals, MRI facilities, power plants, airports, and structures requiring electromagnetic neutrality.

WHERE IT IS USED?

GFRP Rebar is suitable for any reinforced concrete application where corrosion resistance, light weight, or electromagnetic neutrality is a project requirement.
